Educational Scholarships
Although Learning First Charter Public School is a K-8 school, we are committed to the long-term education and success of our students. As part of this commitment, the Learning First Foundation supports two opportunities for financial support in the form of educational scholarships for our graduates.
High School
Every year, high achieving LFCPS 8th Graders are accepted to a variety of local private high schools. While this is an amazing opportunity for our children, many are unable to attend due to an inability to afford the tuition. By donating to our Educational Scholarship Fund, you will enable deserving and committed students to take advantage of the opportunities earned, regardless of their family’s financial situation.

Higher Education
An anonymous donor created this scholarship in 2011 to encourage students from Learning First Charter Public School to pursue higher education. This award is given to students who earned merit scholar points, while attending SHCPS, for academic achievement and model citizenship. High school grades and community involvement are also considered.
This scholarship is offered through the Greater Worcester Community Foundation though The Learning First Foundation supports this scholarship through ongoing fundraising.

Annual Fund
Every year, the students of SHCPS’s Junior Academy are invited to participate in life changing field trips to fantastic locations such as Nature’s Classroom at the Sargent Center and Cape Cod Sea Camps. However, these experiences are often an expense that our parents have difficulty affording. While many students and families work hard to fund raise to cover these costs, for some it is just not possible.
This is where the Learning First Foundation steps in. By donating to our Annual Fund, YOU are allowing students from struggling families the opportunity to join their classmates for an unforgettable learning experience.
