Thank you for taking the time to learn more about how you can support the Learning First Foundation!
Our organization exists to provide opportunities to the students, families and teachers at the Learning First Charter Public School, regardless of race, religion, background, ability, or financial status. We take pride in helping close funding gaps for our students whose families are unable to pay for them to participate in educational experiences beyond the classroom. We are working to support these families in everything from amazing field trips to extracurricular activities held right here in our wonderful city!
Why Should You Give?
Education has unfortunately become more of a luxury item in our country over recent years.
By supporting our Scholarship Fund, you will be directly impacting a child who deserves to given the same chance as everyone else, regardless of their financial status. Our scholarship fund provides aid to students attending private high schools upon graduation and also funds scholarships for our alumni when they are preparing for college. By helping their dreams become attainable, you not only help these individuals but our community as a whole.
Learning First Foundation Capital Campaign
In September 2019, The Learning First Foundation launched its first capital campaign to help raise funds to support the much-needed relocation of Learning First Charter Public School.
The school, which is currently located at 51 Gage St Worcester, is working to move to a new more suitable location at 50 Richland Street (formerly St. Mary’s) in the Vernon Hill section of Worcester.
This is a great undertaking and we are looking for financial support from the local community to help ensure we have the best possible outcomes for the nearly 700 K-8 Worcester children we serve.
Unlike traditional public schools, charters do not receive state funding for capital projects which is why we are relying on a combination of financing and fundraising to support the renovation of the Richland St. property.
